Hello from a newbie Destiny owner from Norfolk. was created by Jimmyjames
Afternoon all.
We have just purchased a Destiny high side to replace the Gobur and T4 camper we were using last year to keep us all in the same space instead of being split between the two vehicles. We got the destiny for an amazing price but it is in need of some work and has a few bits missing from the inside, namely the roof liners, one of the matresses and the original upholstery which has been replaced badly. I have ordered a new foam and memory foam matress to replace the missing one which will remain whole as i'm not bothered about the day sofa thing because there is plenty of seating already in place for us.
The structure is solid as a rock, woodwork and carpets are good, its winterised and the PVC is in top notch condition; it even came with the matching PVC awning which i was well pleased about.
I'm in need of some more curtain slides for the bedroom area which i cannot find anywhere, i'm also in need of details on how the inner linings are constructed and are installed to the square sections of the frames and in the bedroom areas and how the curtain pelmets are fitted. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome. Looks good but not all Dandies come with the roof lining you're lucky if you get one with the lining!
My Dandy has still got the original seat coverings so being an 80's has got the rough itchy covering & it has no electric hook up.

Welcome, and a nice later lighter blue model you have. We have the same one
You can make your own roof liner, we have one and never use it!
You can also re-upholster etc, and same with curtains
Do let us know how you get along

Thanks for the welcome, maybe i am better to not bother with the roof lining then and just give the interior a boost with new upholstery and curtains. At the moment its very stark inside with pale curtains and upholstery, i think it needs something considerably darker to make it feel more cosy.
Out of interest with the bedroom curtains; are they left in place when collapsing the Destiny? The previous owner took them off each time which seems a little daft to me. I cant find any curtain hooks for the track so might look into a better, lower profile track system instead.
