Hello was created by bizzielizzieuk
Hello lovely Dandy people.
We are a couple and an elderly rescue French Bulldog (Comfy), and we live in Kirkham nr Blackpool/Preston Lancashire UK. We looked at Dandy's over 10 years ago after stumbling across them on the internet. It was more curiosity as Riva Dandy is just a stones throw from where we live. We have been blissfully together and camping for 25-years, and started our camping journey in a borrowed 2-man tent with air beds and sleeping bags and a single gas stove and gas light. We moved onto bigger tents and more gear for comfort as we got older. Our last Tent was an Outwell Nevada, Outwells then were considered to be the Rolls Royce of camping. In Easter 2016 we had an Easter break in the Outwell to Oxfordshire and it was a disaster, broken tent poles and a bout of the flu. Decision time when we got home was a compact caravan, but the thought of having to upgrade the car put us off. We finally began to explore the world of TT and FC and after joining the FB pages of the different brands we settled on a Raclet TT and bought one for just over £300 + awning. Last year we camped at: Snowdonia, Portpatrick, Isle of Arran and Wisbech. This year we camped at Wick, as part of the NC 500 and Bude Cornwall. Last week I had notification of a pension that had been set up in 1990 during my previous marriage and as part of the mortgage. We had decided that the time had come for us to trade up to a FC and initially were loooking at the Penine range. On Saturday just gone we intended to visit Penine Leisure at Accrington to look at the layout and get a feel for one. Penine Leisure a not open at weekend, so I checked on the internet for other Penine dealers locally and in among the listing was Riva Dandy, so we had a quick look at the Dandys that Ian has for sale and settled on the Designer as it was reasonably priced, could be towed by our current car and had an awning. Ian was wonderful, he put the designer up for us but I was not fully convinced, and had a look in the Dimension that was also up for sale. Within minutes of stepping inside I felt like we had 'come home' and yesterday we made an offer, was accepted and a sizeable deposit has been placed. We will have to upgrade the car but we are so happy to have become a Dandy family at long last
