Sadly I have gone to the Dark Side (24 May 2017)

After years of running this site, I have now gone to The Dark Side. This web site will continue, but I really need someone new to take over.

Hi just recently bought a Dandy 4, i think it's from the 70's as it has brown sides.
Been camping this weekend and was pleased with this camper, it didn't come with an awning so does anyone know where I can get hold of a matching one
Thanks

Welcome to the Dandy Forum.
Awnings are very hard to come by, but you should be able to find a suitable Drive Away Awning.

Hiya. If you look on the trailer you will find a number etched on the side which will tell you what year it was made. For more info have a look on the info sheets on this site. Shame it didn't come with an awning though if you purchase a porch awning you shoud be able to attach it with parachute cord on the top of the frame. I have a full awning with mine and a Sunncamp scenic porch awning which takes minutes to put up and is ideal for overnight stays if you can't be bothered to put up the whole awning up. I attach my porch awning with parachute cord tied from the top of the porch awning and tied to the poles under the roof of the Dandy. hope this is helpful and happy camping.

Very nice looking Dandy
Give Ian at Riva a ring we got our first awning from him. It was a original awning just the wrong colour but a good start.
