Hi, Everybody

Sorry my love affair with my Dandy was short lived. I have now got a Romini caravan, same weight as a Delta, but it will be park up and no struggle.

I hope I will be welcome with my Rommy, as I have been with my Dandy.

Regards
Patricia

Hi,

Easier to pull for the horse, think its on holiday.

But not sure if it's hooves would grip going up the M62 to Yorkshire. be cruel to ask it to go on motorway

Going through the country, suppose a weeks holiday would take 3 months instead, by the time we got there.

But would be very enjoyable, maybe we should all go back to the old days, wouldnt have to pay for petro, tax etc, l ha ha plenty of free grass in summer.

Remember, brought up next to the Leeds/Liverpool canal, and we used to ride the horses pulling the barges on the canal.

WELL that is a nice looking little caravan but I never seen one,But I am sure I seen little caravanets made out of these. Bet you be nice and warm and dry in it. Going back to the olden days is a big no no for me as I was bought up in a romany caravan well a couple of years of me early life anyway, which I will never forget as I am too fond of me sleeping bag and all the mod cons now.no more straw I can assure you. May be you be on the same site as me one of these days I would love to see it in real life. Just an idea as it is a rare thing why don't you exhibit it at these steam rallys hmmmm free camping weekends

Hi,
There was 200 made, all numbered, they reckon there is about 50 left. Mine was in estreme good condition, well looked after. I have seen some that needed work, cant do that.
There is not as many up here as down south, and prices are higher there than here. they are getting rarer. There was 2 on ebay last couple of weeks.
Sometimes cant get one, then you get 2 or 3 at once. Most people once they get one wont part with it, they are brilliant if on your own like me.

You get people photographing them especially tourist, When I collected it, pulled in the services, side of a big caravan, then big motorhome parked up, and my little one in the middle, ha ha, people were asking about it, wanting to look inside, cute they all said

Was going to the Steam Rally, but no electric hook up, cant do wild anymore, cause of my medical condition, ok for overnight job, but like you need my home comforts now, its the age what does it ha ha and you cant avoid that comes to us all. ha ha

Was also thinking of a 1980s Kip caravan, they are lightweight, they are 475 unladen, but was a bit big & heavy for me, 4 Berth.

I hope to show you my little Rommy at a meet going to the Halloween one and any with EHU.

Patricia
