Hi, We have a Dandy 4 from the early seventies (orange and white). It's in lovely condition, but I have recently converted part of the garage into a workshop. Now, the main box fits perfectly, however the drawbar intrudes into the work space and I am getting very sick of bashing my shins on it.

Has anyone any experience or advice on the practically or legality of this? My thoughts are to cut the A frame at the appropriate point and weld/bolt a section of steel to the main end, and bolt the hitch end on as needed, still thinking about the solid rod brakes, possibly just detach them and reattach and adjust when needed. I would put a dolly wheel (strap on) at each end to support and aid manoeuvring in and out of the garage.

Any ideas, or is this just fantasy?
