I'm going to a non-electric site....Will my tap in the sink still work, or do I need to figure some of other way of pumping up the water?

The pump will be just 12 volt and will work from a leisure battery. Some older Dandys have a double D battery pack (From memory Double D)

Thanks. It's a 2005 Dandy and is arriving this week, but we go on holiday next weekend, so I'm a bit anxious! It doesn't have a leisure battery; it has a 12 volt supply and mains electric with 12v transformer...Is there a cheap and compact way of getting the power it will need, or do I need to invest in a leisure battery and figure out how to install it? I'm really clueless on this because my last Dandy had a manual whale water foot pump

The other quick fix, is to get a 240V inverter run it from your car or a separate leisure battery, and plug in to the EHU.
You will need a 3 pin plug on the EHI cable.

Thank you. Looks like it needs to be a leisure battery (we're going to e festival, so cars have to remain in the car park once we're set up). Silly questions:

1) Can I hook up a smaller (cheaper) battery, like a mobility scooter battery to do the same job?
2) We only go camping once/twice a year, and I'm a complete newbie for electrics. How do I look after/maintain a battery in between, and what equipment do I need to do it, please?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationYou can use any 12 volt battery , but a leisure battery is designed so that it can drain and not be damaged. You could get a car starter pack that has a 12v cigarette plug like this one on ebay
