Hi has anyone have/had any experience with putting a roof rack type carrier on their Dandy?
I have an idea of using a roof rack from a van by modifying it too sit on the four corners.
So my question is this possible as I require it for carrying 3 bikes as it is sot possible on the back
the car or the roof of the car.

Dandy/Riva used to do them, but I understand they stopped as some people overloaded the trailer

Hello I have a 1995 dart and I removed the gas locker from the " A " frame and fitted two of those rack's normally found on roof rack's . it work's very well , just make sure that the bike's are not that far forward that they hit the rear of your car on tight corners , the gas locker can be re-installed in under 15 minute's , good luck , Normandy

Check the weight allowance on your tow bar You should be ok depending on what you are carrying up front of the trailer. With my tin top I only have 80kgs

Good point Paul, to be honest I hadn't considered the weight factor, ( to busy checking the clearance when cornering ) we have two German Kettler alu-rad bike's so we should be o.k. but thank's for mentioning the weight , it's to important to overlook ...and I did , thank's again norman and mandy
