I towed it back from Wales and the bearings got hot so have just repacked bearings with fresh grease. No play in them so leaving as is ( I reckon won't be going that far this season so if OK from Wales, they're OK!)
However, I'd like to replace the bearing grease covers with new ones, marked Rubery Owen if possible as I like the authnetic period look. Can't find them anywhere. Any sources guys?

bearing getting hot could be the bearing faces not sitting square to the shaft anymore due to wear- Old bearing do suffer with this before failing. When are blow bearings failed we had a tyre blow out which caused major damage to the chassis.

Could be but she's not going far this year. I'm going to finish the other resto then swap so this old girl getting full works next year. They were hot but not roasting and was a long journey from Wales back to Essex. Will see what they are like with new grease first. Old stuff was thin and drty. Thanks for help. Sadly Rubery Owen website has nothing for this vintage.
