I want to run a gas pipe from the front box through the body to a gas tap, and then to the cooker, i have the original gas tap which had a copper pipe that ran under the Dandy and then came up through the floor, this had a compression joint one end and then a flexible pipe to the cooker.
Would i have to have a gas engineer do the compression joint and then test it, i am sure i could do it myself i have been reading up on how to do it, and i have a pipe cutter to get a nice clean cut.
Or I could run a flexible orange pipe through the box and then through the body, and fit an inline shut off tap to the pipe, I will then fit a quick release valve in the pipe so i can disconnect the cooker when traveling. grateful for any thoughts. Pete

My self, I would not mess with Gas as too much at risk.
Funny enough we had our Dandy in at Riva Dandy yesterday and got Ian to replace the gas hose that was chaffed.

I am with NeilT in getting it fitted professionally, or at least checked by a professional before use.
Gas is a dagerous thing to get wrong.

Thanks for your replies, just been to a caravan dealer, they would shorten the gas pipe, and test it, but couldn't look at it until end of June, beginning of July.
I think i will go with the original setup using the Dandy sink and a platform next to it so i can stand either a 2 ring electric hob, or a 2 ring gas hob that i already. have.
I now need to find a waste water outlet that fits on the side of the Dandy instead of underneath.Pete
