Good pics by Fearful Wizard to show what can be done , ours gone in the same place but repaired with tin and screws  .. Easiest way if its only a small area is find someone good with a Mig welder.Less heat build up than with gas welding and you should be able to slide a piece of metal between chassis and floor to stop any scorching to the floor.. Intend to repair ours this way once we have used it a few times then waxoil into the box sections and treat the exterior sections to black underbody protection. That's as much as you can do to preserve them... Above all don't panic and repair costs should not be huge unless someone taking advantage !

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I saw a Dandy just the other day was going to buy -got down and found several rust holes in the box section this put me off, got in touch with Dandy Riva the message came back that they don't have replacement frames and advised that it should be repaired.
A shame these frames were never galvanised.

most of the frame work even if it has rust should be able to be repaired easy enough, pretty straight forward tbh

Most Dandys do not suffer from rust, but a few do. Not sure why, could be where they have been stored perhaps...

Yes Ive been thinking about this, could it be a problem particularly with the wheels tucked under the trailer side, it would be interesting to do a survey.
