Hi guys,

I need some help. I’ve recent acquired a dandy designer off eBlag for the princely sum of £230 (an absolute bargain!) it’s a bit rough round the edges but the PVC and the trailer itself is in pretty good condition.

The kitchen units are a bit raggy and the cushions are torn but that’s a fairly easy fix for another day.

It has 2 small electrical sockets to the right of the kitchen unit that run off the 12v, the top one works but the bottom doesn’t, I can’t seem to find any links for replacement parts, does anyone have any ideas? (The ones that look like American outlets).

Secondly, at some point the table has been destroyed by water damage, is this easily replaceable and where would I get one from?

Lastly, this somewhat confuses me, there’s twin electrics fitted to my camper but I can’t see where the second plug goes into it, does it serve any function? It doesn’t have a fridge or reverse lights so I can’t understand what it’s for?

Thanks for any help you can give :)

Jamie

OK first I would suggest to replace the electrics , by the sounds of it it has a DIY job and safety must always come first,
The only reason why twin electrics are need is to run a fridge, so thats a bit strange?
The grey twin plug could be to power up the internal 12 volts fro the car or an adaptor.

It may well be a DIY job, I’ll have a look and see if I can replace them with car style sockets, they’re easier to replace when they go wrong. I’m new to the world of trailer tents so this may sound an amateurish question, but if the grey plug isn’t wired up to anything, is it just a case of wiring it directly to the battery to recharge it or is there some kind of regulator that needs to go in? I’d assume it needs to be connected to some kind of charger device? Or does it just work like a kind of jump lead setup to recharge it?

If its a Designer you will not need the grey plug.
The only Dandy that used Grey was the Destiny to power up the fridge whilst driving.

Unless you have a third party bit fitted.
